TO SOME PARENTS, bringing a small baby on holidays seems like the stuff of nightmares. What if they get cranky on the plane and start annoying the other passengers? What if it’s too hot?
The whole endeavor is fraught with danger.
Or at least that’s what Matt Coyne of Man vs Baby thought. The parenting blogger has written a hilarious Facebook post about what it’s actually like to go holidaying with your baby… and it turns out it’s not all bad.
Here’s what he learned.
First of all, you will need to bring All The Things.
You can’t take any chances.
But you shouldn’t pack an expensive buggy.
Because it will not make it.
“Baby changing facilities” is quite a generous name for what it actually available on board the plane.
And the experience of actually changing the nappy is as challenging as trying to solve a Rubix Cube while blindfolded.
Baby passports are (a) gas and (b) relatively pointless.
As for whether the babies can handle the heat? Turns out they’re grand once you take the necessary precautions.
But you will probably get roasted yourself.
The price of being a parent, eh?
Your maybe will probably eat fistfuls of sand if you aren’t careful.
At the end of the day, though? It’s totally worth it.
Wonderful.
